it's April and spring has officially sprung! We can't help but feel extra sunny these days, with all the gorgeous flowers in a dizzying array of colors popping up in gardens everywhere. April's Color of the Month is inspired by flowers-one in particular. Say hello to Rose!

When you give the gift of pink roses, it is said to symbolize gratitude, grace, and joy. It makes sense since this softer shade feels more gentle than the traditional bright red rose. Outside of the floral world, the color itself is quite soft and feminine. The rose quartz stone symbolizes unconditional love and is said to help people understand each other and see things from a different perspective. it's no wonder a rosy room feels so warm and comforting! (We also think it would make a pretty choice for a nursery for a certain royal baby.)

Since rose is quite a warm color, it naturally pairs well with cooler tones to balance it out. For a calm and serene space, pair it with soft gray, white, and warm hints of gold. For something a little more dramatic, bring in hints of red, green, and darker wood pieces. If you want to bring this pretty color to your exterior, a rose pink door is a great way to add a splash of color to a neutral exterior. If you're really feeling bold, we've seen some super cool rosy pink exteriors too! (An allover pink exterior is particularly suited to heritage homes.)
