The bigger the job, the more you make
Condos tend to have small rooms and smaller job sizes. But bedroom communities have bigger homes with more rooms, backyards and decks, all leading to bigger job sizes. These jobs have the best payoff for the time needed for many of our Franchise Partners.
Population matters
At WOW 1 DAY PAINTING, we like to see our new franchises start with a territory footprint that has a minimum of 300,000 in population. The territory should have densely populated areas (not too rural) and preferably has higher household income and household net worth, relatively speaking.
It’s hard to build a business based solely on painting mansions, there’s going to be plenty of fantastic customers reaching out about smaller jobs like condos or one-off jobs. Being in a populated area to keep growing your customer base is an important factor for opening your paint franchise.
Expanding communities
People tend to paint when they move into a new house, so when there are a lot of new developments and people moving to a community, there’s usually an uptick in business.
Medium-sized cities and communities within an hour's commute to a major metro area are good indicators that people have the disposable income to afford painting services and will continue to grow as people move out of the big cities and into these upcoming communities.
Can residents afford a premium paint service?
We are a premium service brand. We use quality paints, we don’t cut corners and we get the job done on time. But that exceptional customer experience does make us more expensive. Franchise Partners need to evaluate their location to ensure there are enough people who value quality over a cheap job.
How fierce is the competition?
WOW 1 DAY PAINTING is a brand people love, but like so many home services jobs, it comes down to trust, relationships, customer service, recommendations and retention which takes time to build.
